Retrofits for Urban Aging 


Together with OpenLab at Toronto’s University Health Network and as design research with Humanics.io, we have developed a ‘kit-of-parts’ architectural approach to retrofits-for-aging. This work looks at how to create spatial upgrades for hybrid medical/social spaces (called ‘Connected Care Hubs’), designed to enhance and support a wholistic vision of senior wellness in buildings not originally built for this population.
